Capcom showed an unreleased clip of Resident Evil Requiem on Japanese TV, featuring a new location and more terror

Capcom surprised survival horror fans with an unexpected preview of Resident Evil Requiem, shown during a Japanese television program. In that segment, Grace, the only confirmed protagonist, appears in a previously unseen scene that reignited anticipation.
The game launches on February 27 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC, and everything suggests it's set to be one of the strongest titles of the first quarter. Although brief, the new clip was enough to excite the gaming community.

A completely new area and direct combat
Insider Dusk Golem shared the segment, where the development team is seen analyzing a gameplay sequence. In the scene, Grace appears in third-person view (with a first-person alternative) shooting a zombie in a confined environment.
This is the first time this location has been shown, different from the demo Capcom had previously presented. The overall tone reinforces the idea of a more terrifying and claustrophobic approach, marked by narrow hallways, low lighting, and constant tension.
An exclusive and censored clip for Japan
Dusk Golem clarified that the video is part of the censored version typically broadcast in Japan, where gore is more restricted. In the West, as usual, an edition with explicit violence and more visible dismemberment is expected.
Capcom has maintained this dual version for years: one more moderate and another Z-Rated, equivalent to what the Western audience receives.
Does Leon appear?
The clip neither confirms nor denies the possible return of Leon S. Kennedy, one of the strongest rumors. According to the insider, the character would have action-oriented playable sections, but the developer has not yet provided official indications.
