Agostina Vega Case: the strange call reported by her family

The investigation into the murder of Agostina Vega has added a new element following a statement made by the family of the 14-year-old girl.

In an interview with La mañana con Moria, the victim's grandmother revealed that the young girl's mother received an anonymous call while testifying before the authorities.

What call did Agostina Vega's mother receive while testifying

Elizabeth, Agostina Vega's grandmother, recounted that her daughter Melisa Heredia received several calls during a crucial day of the investigation.

As she explained, the communications began with silence and later whispers appeared on the other end of the line.

“At first, there was silence, they said nothing. Then they whispered. Then there was one that said 'Claudio passed me the phone'. And there I recognized the voice,” she stated.

The woman also noted that Melisa was testifying at that moment and that the officers present might have heard part of the conversation.

What the family said about Osvaldo Fassetta

During the interview, the family members also referred to Osvaldo Fassetta, detained in the case and charged with aggravated concealment.

They indicated that the man accompanied Melisa Heredia during various moments of the day when reports and expanded statements were made.

“He went with Melisa to file the report. During the day, when the taxi driver appears and everything points to Barrelier, he again accompanies her to expand the report,” they stated.

The suspicions expressed by Agostina Vega's family

The grandparents of the teenager claimed that some of Fassetta's behaviors caught their attention from the very beginning.

According to their account, they had a conversation with him before any news emerged in the investigation and sensed nervousness during the exchange.

“I called him outside the house and started asking who he was, where they had searched for Agostina, and he was very nervous and had a very particular voice,” they recalled.

Moreover, they maintained that he was constantly close to Melisa and participated in all family conversations.

“He was always whispering in my daughter's ear, he wouldn't leave her side, he listened to all our conversations. We didn't like it, and that's why we told Melisa to stay away,” they expressed.

How the case for the murder of Agostina Vega is progressing

The only person charged with the murder of Agostina Vega remains Claudio Barrelier. The accused is being held in the modular hospital of the Bouwer prison, while the Justice continues with the investigation.

In parallel, a group of investigators continues to work at the site known as the "House of Horror", mentioned in the judicial file.
