Morla and Maradona's sisters are summoned again due to Dalma and Gianinna's complaint about their dad's brands
Judge María Rita Acosta has summoned lawyer Matías Morla again due to the complaint by Dalma and Gianinna Maradona regarding the Maradona brands. Meanwhile, Diego's sisters, Rita and Claudia Norma Maradona, must appear for questioning, along with others involved in the case.
Additionally, the following individuals must appear in court: Rita and Claudia Norma Maradona, Maximiliano Pomargo, Sergio Garmendia, and notary Sandra Iampolsky. The hearings will take place between April 8 and 25.
The case and background
This is not the first time Morla and the sisters of the Ten have had to appear before the justice system. It is the fourth intervention in the case, which aims to clarify the complaint made by Maradona's daughters.
After Maradona's death, Judge Karina Zucconi had summoned Morla and Diego's sisters for a case of “fraudulent administration.” However, the Court of Cassation upheld the lack of merit for both the prosecution and the dismissal of Morla.
With the change of judge in the case, the summonses are now renewed. This could imply the emergence of new evidence that complicates the defendants.
The trial for Maradona's death
Meanwhile, another important trial is taking place in the San Isidro Courts to determine the responsibilities for Maradona's death. Although Morla is not involved in this process, Maradona's sisters are plaintiffs in the case.
Luis Rey Ramírez, who represents Diego Maradona Jr., requested that Maradona's sisters, Rita and Claudia, be removed from their role as plaintiffs. This request could change the course of the case for Maradona's death.
