The Argentine economy is in full recovery and with growth prospects for the coming months
Under Javier Milei's Government, the Argentine economy recorded a 1% monthly growth in February 2025, according to the General Activity Indicator (IGA-OJF) from the consultancy OJF y Asociados. This data marks the sixth consecutive month of monthly growth and an acceleration in economic momentum.
Additionally, in year-on-year terms, the activity showed an impressive 7.5% advance, the highest since May 2022, accumulating a 6.9% increase in the first two months of the year.
These data once again demonstrate that, thanks to the measures taken by Milei's Government, the Argentine economy is in full recovery and with growth prospects for the coming months.

Among the sectors that drove this increase, financial intermediation stood out again, reflecting greater dynamics in the banking and credit sector. Additionally, commerce, especially the wholesale branch, also registered a positive performance. Meanwhile, the mining and quarrying sector, benefited by oil and gas production, was another pillar of economic growth in February.
According to various analysts, it is expected that the activity will continue its growth path in the coming months, driven by the improvement in family incomes, the expansion of credit, and a more stable macroeconomic context. Factors such as the drastic reduction of inflation and the increase in real wages will contribute to sustaining the economic reactivation.
However, among the risks to monitor, consultancies mention the government's negotiation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The evolution of the exchange rate and fiscal decisions will be key to determining the continuity of this positive trend.

Regarding other private measurements, the Ferreres consultancy also recorded a 0.1% improvement in January. However, estimates like those from Equilibra indicate that the economy grew by 0.5% in the same month, in line with the increase recorded in December. Meanwhile, preliminary data from LCG reinforce the idea that the growth trend continues.
With these encouraging results, Milei's Government will seek to continue driving the economic reactivation and ensure sustained growth in a context of macroeconomic stability.
