The General Confederation of Labor (CGT), a traditional stronghold of Kirchnerist unionism, abandoned its passivity after several months and launched a "plan of struggle" against the Government of Javier Milei.
With the presence of Hugo Moyano and other leaders of the old union guard, the labor central not only confirmed its support for the "pensioners' march" in Congress, but has already set a date for a new mobilization: March 24, in the context of the anniversary of the 1976 civic-military coup.
The CGT meeting had almost full attendance and a large participation of union leaders. Present were the co-heads Héctor Daer (Health), Octavio Argüello (Truckers), and Carlos Acuña (Service Stations), along with the deputy secretary of the CGT and host of the meeting, Andrés Rodríguez.
Key figures also participated, such as Hugo Moyano (Truckers), José Luis Lingeri (Sanitary Works), Abel Furlán (UOM), Juan Carlos Schmid (Dredging and Beaconing), Sergio Romero (UDA), Julio Piumato (Judicial), Rodolfo Daer (Food), Sergio Sasia (Railway Union), Alejandro Amor (Buenos Aires Municipalities), Guillermo Moser (Light and Power), Jorge Sola (Insurance), and Omar Plaini (News Vendors), among others.
