In Charata, Chaco, an attempted robbery ended unexpectedly when an employee reacted by throwing boiling water at the face of a criminal who was escaping with a large sum of money.
The incident occurred at the IMMER kiosk, where two hooded men burst in on a motorcycle. One managed to flee without completing the robbery, but the other did steal $140,000 in cash. As he tried to escape, he encountered the store employee, a 27-year-old woman, who, without hesitation, threw boiling water directly at his face.
The employee's reaction changed the course of the event
After the attack, the woman reported the robbery at the local police station. Thanks to her intervention, the police launched a swift investigation. Hours later, they managed to seize the motorcycle used in the assault and recover $32,000 of the loot, which were voluntarily handed over by the striker's sister.

The injured assailant had first-degree burns on his face. He was initially taken to Charata hospital, but then transferred to Hospital 4 de Junio in Sáenz Peña for a more thorough evaluation. Since then, he has remained in police custody.
