Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, announced that GPT-5 will integrate multiple features into a single model. This will allow it to reason, generate multimedia content, and act independently.
It will also improve performance on complex tasks and fluency between tools, which is key for power users and businesses.

GPT-5's multiple capabilities
- Expanded memory to more than one million tokens.
- Greater ability to sustain long and coherent conversations.
- Simultaneous generation of text, image, video, and sound.
- Automatic actions: from replying to emails to updating databases.
The biggest leap since GPT-4
The most important change is in the way information is processed. GPT-5 can work with large volumes of data without losing context, even weeks later.
Additionally, it will use autonomous reasoning techniques without relying on external tools, as the GPT-3 series had already demonstrated.

When is it launching and for whom?
Altman confirmed that GPT-5 will arrive in August, although without an exact date. Pro plan users, which cost USD 200 per month, will receive it first.
