The video game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, developed by the French studio Sandfall Interactive, continues to break records. Since its release on April 24, 2025, it has already surpassed 4.4 million copies sold worldwide, a number that even exceeds the most optimistic projections.
In just 33 days since its debut on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, the RPG had reached 3.3 million sales. Now, just a few months later, the official figure, unofficially confirmed by the developers themselves, raises the total to over 4.4 million, consolidating the title as one of the year's major benchmarks.
Success despite the competition
The achievement is even more remarkable considering that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released simultaneously with the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and is also available from day one on Game Pass, a service that usually reduces direct video game purchases.

However, the French RPG managed to maintain a solid sales pace and sustained demand in all markets, consistently ranking among the top spots in global rankings.
