The video game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, developed by the French studio Sandfall Interactive, achieved an exceptional debut: it sold over one million copies in just four days, establishing itself as one of the year's big surprises for the gamer industry.
A debut that exceeded expectations
Since its release on April 24, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 quickly stood out in the RPG market, reaching figures that surpassed all initial projections. "This achievement doesn't include Game Pass data, which could further increase the player base," sources close to the studio indicated.
Sandfall's proposal focuses on an immersive turn-based role, set in a fantasy world inspired by the Belle Époque, and supported by top-notch production. Renowned actors like Andy Serkis and Ben Starr lent their voices to the characters, generating extra appeal for the audience.

Strong competition and assured success
Clair Obscur's success becomes even more notable considering its release coincided with the launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, one of the most anticipated titles of the year. Despite the competition, Sandfall Interactive managed to position itself solidly.
Meanwhile, Bethesda reported that over four million people have already tried Oblivion Remastered, the sales and excellent reviews of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 demonstrate that both titles managed to conquer their respective audiences. On platforms like Metacritic, positive reviews quickly accumulated, highlighting the technical and narrative quality of the French work.
