A massive interruption of digital services affected millions of users worldwide due to failures in Cloudflare's network. The incident, reported on Tuesday, June 18, caused dozens of platforms to become inaccessible.
The company itself confirmed the situation, indicating that it was investigating the "anomaly" preventing the proper functioning of applications and websites.
Cloudflare, one of the largest content delivery networks (CDN) in the world, acts as a crucial intermediary for internet traffic. Its failure caused errors that prevented users from accessing essential content.

Affected services: The list of digital victims
The scope of the failure was global and transversal, affecting both social networks and artificial intelligence tools as well as gaming platforms.
- Social networks: The platform X (formerly known as Twitter) was one of the first and most notable affected. Millions of users reported being unable to view posts, refresh content, and load multimedia elements such as videos and images, especially on the desktop version.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): Users of ChatGPT reported severe difficulties using the popular AI tool, directly linking the incident to Cloudflare's problems.
- Video games: Gaming also suffered the consequences. League of Legends recorded numerous connection failures that prevented many players from accessing their matches, highlighting a global connectivity issue.
- Other services: Applications such as Letterboxd, various media outlets (such as Forocoches, Resetera, and Menéame), and even the monitoring platform Downdetector experienced blockages and failures. Menéame, for example, displayed an "internal server error" explicitly attributed to Cloudflare's network.
