Why it continues to be so cold in the AMBA

The region remains under the influence of a cold and dry air mass that moved in over the weekend.

This polar air keeps temperatures low, especially during the mornings and nights, although the sun allows for a partial thermal recovery during the afternoons.

Additionally, low humidity and weak winds favor nighttime cooling and help maintain a cool environment even with sunny days.

When will the temperature start to rise

The thermal relief will arrive gradually towards the second half of the week. According to the extended forecast from the SMN, Wednesday, May 13, will have a minimum of 10°C and a maximum of 17°C.

On Thursday, May 14, the temperature will continue to rise slowly, with expected readings between 11°C and 18°C. Meanwhile, Friday, May 15, is expected to be an even milder day, with a minimum of 11°C and a maximum of 19°C.
