Concern at Boca: Russo remains hospitalized awaiting medical results
The Xeneize head coach spent the night in stable condition and is awaiting the result of a culture that will determine whether he remains hospitalized or can continue treatment at home
The world of Boca is on edge over the health of Miguel Ángel Russo. The 69-year-old coach has been hospitalized since yesterday afternoon at the Fleni clinic after suffering from a urinary tract infection. Although he had a quiet night, he is awaiting the results of a culture that will determine whether he should remain hospitalized or if he can return home to continue with outpatient treatment.
Those closest to him convey calm and assure that Russo is in good spirits, even expressing his intention to return home as soon as possible to take charge of the squad when training resumes. However, that possibility has been ruled out, since this Wednesday Claudio Úbeda will take charge of the group.

During the night, the coach was given antibiotics and intravenous hydration. The next step will depend on the results of the urine culture: if the doctors believe he should complete the treatment at Fleni or if he can do so from home with the appropriate medication.
The hospitalization comes after Russo appeared to be in poor condition in his most recent public appearances. In Boca's last two matches, he was seen sitting on the bench, without standing up or giving instructions, showing clear signs of fatigue. The expectation is that this stay at the clinic will allow him to recover and receive medical clearance in the coming hours.

Meanwhile, the squad will resume training this afternoon under the leadership of Úbeda and the rest of the coaching staff: Juvenal Rodríguez (second assistant coach), Adrián Gerónimo and Cristian Aquino (fitness coaches), and Cristian Muñoz (goalkeeper coach).
