Confirmed: Bailando 2025 was cancelled and Ángel de Brito revealed the reason
América TV decided not to air Tinelli's show in 2025, and the host of LAM explained the reasons
Uncertainty turned into certainty. Finally, Bailando 2025 won't air and the news was confirmed by Ángel de Brito, who revealed the real reasons behind the decision.
Since early June, the journalist had warned that the future of the competition was hanging by a thread. Although Marcelo Tinelli made every effort until the last moment to launch a new edition, América TV had already closed the matter.
Tinelli made a strong bet, but it wasn't enough
This Tuesday on Bondi Live, Ángel de Brito confirmed what was already an open secret: the show was canceled. "The reality is there's no money to support it. It's an expensive format and the numbers don't add up," he stated frankly.
According to him, Tinelli had everything ready to start. He had even prepared a tentative list of participants and judges. However, the lack of budget was an insurmountable obstacle.
The host of LAM stated that América chose to continue with the programs that are already working and have much lower costs, a criterion incompatible with the scale of production required by Bailando.

América bets on the safe side
The channel's strategy prioritized profitability: keeping low-cost content that guarantees good audience results. In that scheme, a show like Tinelli's was left out.
Despite the historic host's effort to keep the Bailando brand alive, the economic and production conditions didn't help.
With this decision, the possibility of seeing a new edition of one of the most iconic formats in Argentine television is closed—at least for this year.
