Ángel de Brito exploded after the controversy over the alleged payments to the LAM audience.

The host replied harshly after a video went viral that sparked rumors about payment to extras

A viral video sparked controversy on social media by revealing alleged payments to those who attend as audience members at LAM, the show hosted by Ángel de Brito on América TV. The situation caused such a stir that the journalist himself stepped in to deny and clarify the rumors.

TikTok user @nadinalocutora reported that she was contacted through a Facebook post, where they were seeking "extras between 20 and 45 years old." According to her account, when she got in touch, she was informed it was for LAM and that she needed to attend well-dressed.

The TikToker shared how she got to the audience section

The young woman shared her experience in a video that quickly went viral. However, at no point did she confirm whether she received money for her participation.

Following the video's impact, user @ElLauchaOkey commented that people in the show's audience would be paid 40,000 pesos (88 pounds), which further fueled the debate on social media.

De Brito replied harshly on social media

Twitter user @NachoRodriOk, known for spreading false information, joined the conversation and questioned the alleged payment through SUTEP (Sindicato Único de Trabajadores del Espectáculo Público). Ángel de Brito's response was swift.

"Shall I help you reduce your ignorance?" the host shot back. He explained: "All TV audiences have a minimum number of paid people, because it's an obligation before SUTEP." De Brito added that this practice is known even "by any beginner."

The journalist did not stop there. With a sharp tone, he said: "Get informed, cat." Meanwhile, Nacho Rodríguez insisted on his version: "The SUTEP thing is a lie. In Showmatch or Gran Hermano no SUTEP people were hired. SUTEP applies to fiction scenes, not to live shows."

Far from backing down, Ángel doubled down and challenged him: "Today I'll make you a video so you understand. Otherwise, I invite you to see it live, record it, and clarify your misinformation."

In an even more direct tone, he linked him to Marcelo Tinelli, whom he accused of having debts with employees: "Don't forget to mention the more than 200 unpaid checks your boss has before talking about the rest."

To conclude, he accused him of having personal interests in defending Tinelli: "Ask him yourself, since you went to suck up to him and they silenced you by putting you on Mazzocco's panel. Don't be unprofessional. I'll be waiting for you at LAM tonight," he wrote with irony.
