Almost one year after the terrible floods in Bahía Blanca, Hospital Penna sparked a strong controversy that involves AFA led by the mafioso Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia. The institution stated that it still hasn't transferred the full amount of the money raised in the charity match between the senior Argentina national team and the U-20 team.
Although the governing body of Argentine soccer reported that the full proceeds would be used to assist those affected by the storm, the head of the hospital's cooperative association, María del Carmen Martí, stated that 108 million pesos (238,099 pounds) of the total are still owed.
"They told us publicly that it was 701 million and we received 593, we don't know what happened", she pointed out in an interview with Radio con Vos. The representative stressed the need to leave an administrative record of the situation: "We in the cooperative association have to record in the minutes what happened. If they don't return it, they should write a note stating that they kept it, we have to record in the minutes what happened".
