Córdoba brought together industry leaders at the 2025 International Automotive Forum
Businesspeople and specialists analyzed strategies to strengthen the production and export chain
The Foro Internacional Automotriz Córdoba (Fiac) took place on August 7 and 8 at the provincial Convention Center. The event brought together executives, economists, and industry leaders to discuss the future of the sector. The gathering was accompanied by the Auto Show exhibition, which extended its activities until Sunday the 10th at the Ferial venue.
Organized by the Córdoba Automotive and Sustainable Mobility Cluster (Clauto), the meeting featured the participation of 39 entities, including manufacturers, auto parts suppliers, and universities. Among the speakers were Dante Sica and Osvaldo Giordano, along with executives from leading companies such as Renault, Volkswagen, Stellantis, Iveco, and Prestige Auto. The organizers highlighted the forum's relevance as a space for exchanging ideas at a time of major global changes.
The industry is facing technological, commercial, and logistical transformations, with the rise of electric and hybrid vehicles and the growing presence of Chinese manufacturers. The Asian offering is expanding in both economic and high-end segments, reshaping the global market landscape. This scenario requires a rethinking of strategy so that Argentina can compete efficiently.

Competitiveness and challenges for the value chain
The conferences agreed that strengthening the competitiveness of the entire production chain is key to sustaining growth. This involves optimizing processes from large manufacturers to small and medium-sized auto parts companies. The need for a regulatory framework that facilitates the hiring of personnel in companies wishing to join the value chain was also raised.
The macroeconomic context and internal conditions, such as the tax burden and labor regime, were identified as factors that affect development. However, it was highlighted that regional integration and the partial opening of imports are beginning to energize the market. After the sharp decline recorded up to 2024, the sector is showing signs of recovery this year.
Fiac made it clear that, even among competitors, it is possible to build consensus and set a common agenda for the future. The organizers expressed their intention to continue the meeting in the coming years.Córdoba, as a historic automotive production hub, seeks to establish itself as a reference point to drive new projects and alliances.
