An organization dedicated to the sale of narcotics was recently dismantled in the western sector of Córdoba Capital by FPA personnel. The investigators worked for several months to identify how this network operated, which was made up mainly of relatives and close associates. The deployment of the security forces made it possible to raid various strategic locations in the same neighborhood by surprise.
Judicial authorities ordered seven coordinated raids to prevent possible escapes by the main suspects in the case. During the operation, it was verified that 4 properties were operating as bunkers for direct sales to the public, while another 3 served as storage sites. This division of tasks among the homes allowed the criminals to safeguard the illegal merchandise in the event of possible police inspections.
The searches resulted in the seizure of 323 doses of cocaine ready for immediate sale on the streets of Córdoba Capital. Authorities also seized 19 marijuana plants along with a motorcycle that was allegedly used to transport the drug packages. As for the cash, FPA agents counted a total of 2,151,000 pesos ($2,151,000) distributed in bills of different denominations.
Los uniformados procedieron detuvieron a 5 personas: 3 hombres y 2 mujeres
Detainees with prior records under judicial custody
The uniformed officers proceeded to arrest 5 people: 3 men aged 60, 42, and 30, along with 2 women aged 36 and 18, respectively. The family and neighborhood ties among those involved were a key factor that facilitated the logistics and concealment of the illicit activity. This type of closed structure usually presents greater difficulties for the infiltration of agents due to the mutual trust among its members.
When the official records were checked, it was detected that 3 of those involved already had prior records for violating the national narcotics law. All the detainees were immediately transferred to the corresponding judicial headquarters under heavy guard by the special forces of the FPA. The Feria Anti-Drug Trafficking Prosecutor's Office assumed responsibility for the case and will determine the defendants' next procedural steps.
The operation made it possible to restore peace of mind to the residents of Villa Alberdi, who lived every day with the incessant movement of drug buyers. The experts are continuing to analyze the seized technological material to determine whether the criminal network had connections with gangs from other neighborhoods. The definitive closure of these 7 points of sale and storage represents a significant step forward in the fight against retail drug trafficking.
