Córdoba: family drug gang dismantled, with mother, daughter, and son-in-law arrested

A woman, her daughter, and her son-in-law were arrested in the city of Leones for being part of an organization dedicated to the illegal drug trade. The intervention was carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force in an operation that took place this Wednesday afternoon. The action was conducted under the directives of the Public Prosecutor's Office as part of an ongoing case.

The raid was carried out at a residence on Belgrano Avenue 1800 (1,800), in the Ensanche Oeste neighborhood, after receiving multiple anonymous reports. The property operated as a drug sales center and also offered a home delivery system for narcotics. The residence was located just a few meters from the municipal hospital and Club Deportivo Leones.

During the procedure, officers seized a total of 242 doses of cocaine, cash, and other key elements for the case. According to official sources, the main suspect was the one who organized the distribution and coordinated the deliveries from her home. All the seized material was transferred to the judicial headquarters along with the three defendants.

The investigation advances under the narcotics law

The operation had an impact due to the proximity of the location to public institutions such as a hospital and a sports club. Meanwhile, the Narcotics Prosecutor's Office of Marcos Juárez confirmed that the case was classified under National Law No. 27,737. Work continues to determine whether there are links to other distribution networks.

Surveillance tasks began after receiving citizen reports warning of unusual activity at the residence, especially at night. The residence served as a storage point and a distribution logistics system was detected within the same family unit. The investigation remains open and further arrests in the coming days are not ruled out.
