The long weekend of October 12 left a highly positive balance for the tourism sector in the province of Córdoba. According to the Córdoba Tourism Agency (ACT), 240,000 tourists traveled and an economic impact of more than $48 billion was caused. The average daily expenditure was $104,000 per person, including accommodation, dining, and transportation.

High occupancy levels throughout the province
Among the most in-demand destinations, Villa Tulumba and Tanti stood out with a 98% occupancy rate, followed by La Falda and Villa Carlos Paz with 92%. La Cumbrecita, Villa General Belgrano, and Miramar also stood out, all above 90%. This data confirm the diversity and strength of Córdoba's domestic tourism, even in an adverse economic context.
There were also very good results in Yacanto de Calamuchita (93%), Balnearia (100%), and Dean Funes (85%), reflecting broad and decentralized tourist activity. The president of ACT, Darío Capitani, stated that “Córdoba remains one of the country's preferred destinations.” He emphasized that tourism is a “key economic driver and generator of genuine employment.”

Punilla, Calamuchita, and Traslasierra among the most visited valleys
In Villa Carlos Paz, the highest-category establishments recorded the best performance, favored by good weather and their recreational activity schedules. The San Roque Lake waterfront, the downtown area, and the San Antonio River saw massive attendance. Dining and commercial services operated with high demand during all three days.
In the Calamuchita Valley, the sector exceeded expectations, according to Cintia Costa, administrator of Valle del Sol in Santa Rosa. The hotel reached 100% occupancy and cabins and houses, 85%. Villa General Belgrano also reported significant activity despite not holding its Oktoberfest, which was rescheduled for November.
The Fogoneros event in Nono, the anniversary of Mina Clavero, and festivals in Villa Cura Brochero, Villa de las Rosas, and Villa Dolores consolidated Traslasierra as another of the most visited valleys. In Villa Dolores, the Traslasierra Motoencuentro brought together thousands of tourists. Mayor Maximiliano Rivarola highlighted its positive economic impact throughout the region.

The Capital also played a leading role with culture and gastronomy
The city of Córdoba recorded a hotel occupancy rate of 77.3%, with strong activity in the downtown area. The Bon Odori Festival, the Book Fair, and multiple musical shows attracted thousands of people. Events such as the Córdoba Mercosur Theater Festival, the Sabores Fair, and religious offerings complemented the line-up.
The gastronomic series “Córdoba sabe bien” offered special promotions and discounts, thanks to joint work between the municipality and the private sector. The Secretary of Government, Rodrigo Fernández, highlighted that “every long weekend consolidates Córdoba as a national tourist destination.” The generation of employment and income for local SMEs was also highlighted.
The Undersecretary of Tourism, Marcelo Valdomero, added that the city improved its occupancy in July (9%), August (15%), and September (11%). He underlined the role of public-private coordination in creating attractive offerings. “We work with hoteliers and restaurateurs to promote urban tourism,” he concluded.
