Córdoba: Pastore supports a lukewarm electoral alliance from a ministry with a multimillion-dollar budget

The official defends an ambiguous political structure from an invented position with a $26 billion budget

At the Casa de Chubut, the governors of Córdoba, Santa Fe, Santa Cruz, Jujuy, and Chubut presented a new electoral front. The event, with an institutional aesthetic, served to stage a political alliance that is lukewarm and ambiguous, seeking to position itself as a "moderate" option heading into October.

Meanwhile, Daniel Pastore, a minister with a position created in Córdoba, endorsed the alliance with a multimillion-dollar fund. From there, he defended the coalition as "a different alternative" without specifying concrete proposals, nor distancing himself from figures close to Kirchnerism.

Daniel Pastore is a Córdoba minister with a tailor-made position. He is the head of the brand-new "Ministry of Community Engagement," with no clear functions. This structure manages a budget of more than $26,000 million this year.

A political fund disguised under a moderate centrist discourse

Pastore stated that Grito Federal is an "alternative to the extremes," in an ambiguous tone. He said that "Argentines don't vote for ideas but for people who represent them." He targeted both poles without explaining why the space recycles figures from the PJ, thus serving Kirchnerism.

Claudio Vidal, governor of Santa Cruz, was elected through an alliance with Kirchnerist sectors. Ignacio Torres and Carlos Sadir have ties to the old Juntos por el Cambio structure.  Schiaretti, absent in management but key in the photo, endorses this ideological hodgepodge.

The message focused on "moderation" seeks to capture the vote disenchanted with polarization. However, it avoids taking a stance on reforms, austerity, or reducing public spending. Its lukewarm and centrist narrative conceals alliances that serve classic Peronism and statism.

An invented ministry, with a multimillion-dollar budget and no concrete functions

The Ministry of Community Engagement was created for Pastore, with no clear responsibilities and more than $26 billion allocated for 2024. 72% of the spending is concentrated on official propaganda, events, and ceremonial activities, under programs such as "Public Information" and "Communications." Amid lukewarm speeches and photos with Kirchnerist allies, Pastore has already spent more than $10 billion without providing clear accountability to the public.

While other essential areas are tightening their budgets, this sham ministry has already paid more than $6.2 billion solely on public information and official press. More than $2.8 billion was allocated to ceremonies, events, and acts, reinforcing the political structure of Schiaretti and Llaryora. There are no concrete policies, but there is a well-oiled fund to finance the marketing of a "moderation" empty of proposals.

The very existence of the ministry is evidence of the unproductive statism that Cordobesismo claims to fight but reproduces without hesitation. From this fund disguised under an institutional veneer, Pastore endorses recycled alliances and justifies his role without measurable results. This way, Córdoba keeps an unnecessary structure that only serves partisan interests, not the true demands of the citizens.
