The provincial government foresees a 'historic' reduction in taxes and measures to boost investment
Martín Llaryora confirmed that the 2026 Budget will include a significant tax reduction and benefits for productive sectors. According to his explanation, the decision responds to an economic growth scenario that would allow the reduction to be sustained without compromising provincial resources. "What we have to do is trust in this stage, that we're going to grow by 6% and that there will be 10% inflation," Llaryora stated.
The official indicated that the measure doesn't respond to a request from the national government, but rather to a fiscal strategy of its own based on next year's economic projections. With this plan, the province seeks to simplify the tax system and expand the reach of stimulus programs. The budget will allow "the creation of an almost historic program of reduction and investment stimulus," he anticipated.
The budget bill will include adjustments to the main provincial taxes and additional benefits for traditionally excluded sectors. Among them, retail trade, services, and small-scale industrial production stand out. The idea is to reduce the tax burden without affecting development support programs.

Llaryora announced that the reduction will be "very significant" and that its scope will extend to all activities with a high impact on local employment. "It's going to be very significant because it will continue to support stimulus programs and industrial production laws," he told a local media outlet. In addition, the provincial government will analyze the fiscal cost of the package to ensure transparency and predictability.
The plan includes further reductions in Gross Income Tax for commerce and services, which account for the majority of Córdoba's SMEs. "More than 50% of merchants are in reduced rates, and we're going to keep lowering Gross Income Tax," the governor explained. Taxes affecting the agricultural sector and the rural property tax will also be reviewed.
The program will include financing lines, entrepreneurial funds, and tax exemptions aimed at productive regions in the provincial interior. Llaryora highlighted that the total planned investment will be around 100 million dollars and will be allocated to promote projects in the northern and southern parts of the province. "It will be an unprecedented reduction in terms of scope and productive impact," he assured.
