Córdoba: a globetrotter traveler who cycled through 40 countries was robbed

Lucas, a globetrotter from Córdoba, was mugged near the airport and needs help to continue creating content

Lucas Ledezma is a cyclist from Córdoba who has traveled through 40 countries by bicycle and attended the World Cups in Russia and Qatar. A few weeks ago, he was the victim of a robbery in Córdoba, his hometown. During an interview, he described how he lost his essential work tools needed to continue traveling.

The incident took place in front of the airport, in the Urban Children's Park, where he was approached by two armed criminals. One of them pointed a gun at his head and threw him to the ground while the other took his truck. He was transporting his work and personal belongings in the vehicle.

The stolen items include his bicycle, drones, cell phones, hard drives, and content creation equipment. Lucas explained that he had just returned from a journey through the Altas Cumbres (High Summits) and had everything loaded. He documents his travels and creates audiovisual content for social media and brands.

Account of the incident and criticism of the lack of response

Lucas expressed his sadness at having been a victim of insecurity in Córdoba, his hometown. "I'm used to sharing trips, adventures, beautiful things, and here in Córdoba I've had to experience insecurity," he said. "Right in my province, in my city, very sad," he added in the interview.

He recounted that the strikers were riding a motorcycle and that everything happened in a matter of seconds. One of them approached on foot and subdued him at gunpoint. They then fled the scene with the truck and all the items it contained.

He stated that his truck was key to his work, since it contained the tools to produce professional content. "It's my source of income," he explained. He indicated that he creates content on social media and works with different brands that support him on his journeys.

How to help the traveler

Lucas regretted not having received follow-up from the authorities after filing the report. "There were no responses from the Police," he said, referring to the lack of contact after the incident. He assured that, although they completed the formal process, there was no further communication or action to help him.

Despite the robbery, Lucas keeps his goal of reaching the 2026 United States World Cup by bicycle alive. He is seeking to recover his tools in order to continue producing content. He requested support to rebuild his work equipment.

Those who wish to help him can participate in a charity raffle through his Instagram account @todoapedal. The number 351 7521905 is also available to contact him directly. Lucas continues moving forward, hoping to resume his project.
