La Derecha Diario Córdoba: young motorcyclist dies after a crash in General Paz neighborhood
A woman was seriously injured and two other people sustained minor injuries in the traffic accident
A 27-year-old man died Friday morning after being involved in a collision between a motorcycle and a car in the General Paz neighborhood, city of Córdoba.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. at the intersection of 24 de Septiembre Avenue and Viamonte Street. According to police sources, a Fiat Cronos and a motorcycle carrying two people were involved in the accident.
A corporal from the Córdoba Police and her companion were traveling in the vehicle. The motorcycle driver died at the scene, and his companion was transported in critical condition to a hospital.
Investigation and initial hypotheses
An emergency unit confirmed the motorcyclist's death at the scene. The young woman accompanying him was transferred with a guarded prognosis. Meanwhile, the two occupants of the car were treated at Vélez Sársfield Clinic for minor injuries.
Eyewitnesses indicated that the motorcycle driver may have run a red light and may have consumed alcohol before the crash. However, these accounts have not yet been officially confirmed and are part of the ongoing investigation.
