Insecurity in Córdoba: a police officer tackled a motorcycle thief and everything was recorded

This Wednesday at noon, two motorcycle thieves were arrested in the Remedios de Escalada neighborhood, Córdoba Capital. The criminals were riding a red Brava 110cc motorcycle along Juan B Justo Avenue, together with Milagros de la Vega. When they noticed the police presence, they attempted to flee but crashed into a taxi during their attempt.

The incident was recorded by a security camera located near the scene. The video shows how one of the officers gets out of the patrol car and lunges at the motorcycle's driver. With a decisive maneuver, the police officer manages to destabilize the thief and throw him to the ground to prevent his escape.

The police intervention

While the first uniformed officer subdues the driver with a precise tackle, his partner apprehends the second criminal. Both were handcuffed at the scene and immediately taken to a nearby police station. According to police sources, no injuries were reported during the procedure.

Testimonies gathered at the scene state that the individuals were already known in the area. Residents and shopkeepers on Japón Avenue had identified them in previous robberies. The victims even indicated that they were using the same motorcycle as in this incident.

"We were tired of seeing them go by and knowing they were coming to steal," said a local shopkeeper. Police presence in the area increased after repeated calls about security incidents. The quick response from the officers prevented the situation from resulting in a new victim.
