In the midst of the 2026 World Cup, the passion of Argentine fans once again proved to be limitless. This time, the protagonist was Tim Payne, the defender from New Zealand who became an unexpected celebrity among albiceleste fans thanks to a viral phenomenon that exploded on social media.
The one who took that admiration to another level was Juanka Cassane, a DJ and music producer from Corrientes, who decided to tattoo the footballer's face on one of his legs. The process was recorded on video and quickly began to circulate on various platforms, where it accumulated thousands of views and comments.
The artwork, done by the Corrientes tattoo artist Iván, a realism specialist, took about three hours of work. The design not only includes the player's portrait but also a phrase that has become a sort of motto among the followers of the New Zealander: "No Payne, No Gain", a play on words with the footballer's last name and the popular English expression meaning "no pain, no gain."
“This is an idea we came up with together with my tattoo artist. We still can't believe everything that happened. Thank you all,” Cassane wrote on his social media when sharing the final result.
