Cristian Larsen: 'We want more people to visit the national parks'
The president of the National Parks Administration spoke about the potential of tourism in Argentina
During the annual meeting with the Chamber of National Parks Concessionaires, the president of the National Parks Administration, Cristian Larsen, highlighted the importance of strengthening the public-private partnership to boost tourism in protected areas.
In a conversation with CheckInViral, a program of La Derecha Diario, Larsen stated: "More tourist services mean more jobs and more Argentinians visiting and getting to know the National Parks."
Strategic alliance for tourism development
The event brought together the main actors of park tourism, with the aim of coordinating joint strategies. "Today we have a day with the Chamber of Park Concessionaires, which is basically this public-private partnership we promote of parks and all the concessionaires that develop a tourist service in parks. We meet once a year, set goals, and see how we can continue developing tourist products within the parks," the official explained.
The Administration seeks to advance in the creation of new tourist proposals to make visits to these natural spaces more attractive. "We have the most beautiful places in Argentina and the most beautiful in the world. The important thing is to provide tourist services so that more and more people come, get to know them, and contemplate the natural wonders we have in our country," he added.

Making nature visible and accessible
One of the management's focuses of Larsen is to expand the knowledge and access of citizens to the country's 39 national parks. "What we want is for more people to know us, come, and enjoy the natural wonders we have," he stated.
The official also emphasized the emotional value of connecting with Argentine landscapes: "When one is in contact with nature, when one is in contact with the most beautiful things it has, those sensations are caused, right? Of saying, appreciating what we have in our country, in our homeland, saying, all this is Argentina and it's worth knowing and enjoying."

It's an enormous responsibility that I enjoy day by day."
