Crónica TV fired Diego Moranzoni for stealing money from charity collections

Journalists Federico Flowers and Alejandro Pueblas revealed shocking information about the scandal

The channel Crónica TV has carried out charity campaigns on various occasions to support different social causes, such as helping homeless people.

However, in recent hours, journalist Federico Flowers revealed a major scandal involving his former colleague Diego Moranzoni, who allegedly stole the money raised by the station to help a woman.

According to Flowers, the evidence against Moranzoni is overwhelming. He also confirmed that the channel decided to fire the journalist permanently, with the support of the production and management of the network.

Through his account on X (formerly Twitter), Federico expressed: “SCANDAL AT Crónica. Diego Moranzoni was fired. A woman reported him because in the famous 'charity' events they held to raise funds, he kept the money. At the end of the program, he took the phone, transferred the money in the locker room.”

In another message, he added: “Diego transferred the money in the locker room and returned the equipment to the woman. This complaint reached the ears of Olmos (one of the major shareholders) along with his wife and lawyers, they sat Moranzoni down, and from his office, you could hear the shouts: 'corrupt, thieves'.”

Finally, Flowers concluded his account with more details: “Diego was caught off guard and said he was resigning, but the authorities said they were firing him, and so it was, yesterday he was dismissed from Crónica. He left, didn't say goodbye to anyone. I'm hearing about other people involved and complaints about this method. All the colleagues are surprised.”

Other Complainants

Flowers wasn't the only one who spoke about this scandal. Alejandro Pueblas, a journalist from A24, also commented on the matter on his X account. "He took the phone, went to the locker room, and transferred... That's how bad TV is," he stated in a post.

He concluded with another shocking statement: "The issue is that it seems he was taking from all the collections... TV is calm."
