Cyberpunk 2077 arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 with its definitive edition

During the recent presentation event for the Nintendo Switch 2, one of the most impactful announcements was the confirmation that Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be available on June 5, coinciding with the official launch of the console.

For the first time, the acclaimed open-world RPG by CD Projekt RED will be playable on a Nintendo platform, with all its content included on a single 64 GB cartridge, without the need for additional downloads or digital keys.

All content on a single cartridge

The Ultimate Edition will include both the main story of the game and the Phantom Liberty expansion, as well as all additional content released since its original debut. This version will also be fully adapted to the new Nintendo hardware, incorporating:

• Motion control
• Gyroscope aiming
• Touch navigation in menus
• Compatibility with the right Joy-Con's mouse mode

The project director, Adam Badowski, highlighted at the event that this will be “the most cyberpunk way to play Cyberpunk 2077”, emphasizing the immersion offered by the Switch 2, both in portable mode and in home use.

“Thanks to Nintendo Switch 2, you can now transport yourself to Night City from your own home or while on the move”, expressed Badowski through a statement published on social media.

A launch that marks a milestone

This will be the first time the dystopian universe of Cyberpunk reaches a Nintendo console, something that seemed unlikely given the technical demands of the title. However, with the new processing power of Switch 2, a new era opens for AAA titles on the hybrid platform.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be available in both physical and digital formats from June 5, and it will join a robust launch catalog that will also include games like Street Fighter 6 and Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut.
