The former player thanked his family, his career, and shared snapshots. The greetings on social media and his photo gallery

David Beckham reached 50 years old and celebrated it in a big way.  Through his social media, he shared images that spanned his life, from his beginnings as a young football prospect to his establishment as a global icon.

"Reflecting on this birthday... I'm very grateful for many things in my life," he wrote on Instagram, where he accompanied his message with a gallery of personal photos.

The former English footballer showed an intimate and nostalgic side by recalling key moments of his career, his childhood, and, above all, his family.

Tribute to his roots and his sports career

Beckham thanked everyone who marked his professional life.  "The teams I've played for, my teammates, managers, the fans, MY COUNTRY and being captain of England..." he listed proudly.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and LA Galaxy player didn't forget his beginnings, nor those who supported him when he was just a child with a dream.

The heart of the message: his family

Beyond sports success,  Beckham focused his message on what is most important to him: his loved ones. "My greatest achievement is and always will be my family," he expressed.

The Englishman deeply thanked his parents,  who "sacrificed so much" so he could fulfill his dream of becoming a footballer.He also had words for his sisters, who accompanied him in the rain and cold during his early matches.

"My wife and best friend of 28 years and my beautiful children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper... you are the reason I get out of bed every day," he stated.

"Thank you for making me smile and for making me a better man," he concluded, visibly moved, in a post that received millions of likes and comments.
