The autopsy seeks to determine the cause of cardiorespiratory arrest while complaints of judicial negligence and for having prioritized the gender perspective in the return of the child to his biological mother are growing.

The death of Ángel, a boy just 4 years old, in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia, sparked national shock and put under the spotlight not only his family environment, but also previous judicial decisions that are now strongly questioned. The minor died after suffering cardiorespiratory arrest, without a medical history, and the causes remain undetermined, pending the results of the autopsy

.

The case, however, goes beyond the medical. As investigations progress, complaints emerge that point to possible institutional negligence and the influence of ideological criteria on decisions that would have been fatal. According to reports, the first tests carried out on Ángel's body would indicate the presence of internal injuries to the skull, which aggravates suspicions about the circumstances of his death and reinforces the hypothesis of

a possible violent intervention.

On Sunday morning, around 7:00 a.m., Ángel began to have respiratory problems in the house where he was staying. Medical and police personnel came to the scene and found him without vital signs, immediately starting resuscitation maneuvers. He was rushed to the regional hospital, where he was admitted at 8:35 in critical condition. There, as Luis Cisneros explained, “advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation is performed and it responds from a circulatory point of view, regaining a heart rate, but never regaining the respiratory rate

.”

The professional defined him as a “critically ill patient who never responded” during his stay in intensive care. Finally, the boy died shortly before midnight on Sunday. Despite the picture, Cisneros was adamant: “The cause of death is totally unknown. That's why the body is going to an autopsy; we'll have to wait for the results to have some other information.” He also clarified that “there are no signs of violence in the medical record” and that the minor “apparently was in very good general condition

”.

Suspicions, family insiders and raids

The tragedy uncovered a strong family interior.

The minor's biological mother was at the center of the investigation, and this Wednesday the police carried out a search of the house where she lived with her current partner, who was also accused of suspicion of violence

.

Even in the Public Prosecutor's Office, a fight broke out between the child's mother and father, which required police intervention.

The prosecutor in the case, Facundo Oribones, ordered the intervention of the Interdisciplinary Forensic Corps and ordered measures to determine “what was the cause of death of this minor, as well as the responsibility of any person”.

One of the most controversial points in the case is the court decision to reconnect Ángel with his biological mother. The process had started on November 4, despite the fact that, according to the parental environment, the child expressed fear.

Lorena Andrade, who defined herself as a “foster mother”, maintained that the child had been abandoned by his mother when he was one and a half years old and that the reconnection was imposed by Justice.

“Ángel was taken from a place where he was well to be taken to a place of torture. Ángel was killed,” he said. He also complained: “We didn't want to hand over the baby, and the defender who was on duty ordered that we give it

to him.”

Along the same lines, he questioned the process:
“You can't give a child to someone you don't know, no matter how much the mother is, you don't know her.” In addition, he said that for three months the biological mother imposed a perimeter that prevented them from approaching the

child.

The statements of the parental environment were even harsher. Lorena Andrade directly accused her mother: “That murderous lady grabbed, left the baby in a coma, left him lying in the hospital and went

to sleep at home.”

He also pointed out against the woman's partner: “The child is a nuisance, he has to take care of him,” she said, according to a friend of the family.

And he added a disturbing hypothesis: “Surely it was he who mistreated him... The boy left that house dead.”

The case takes on an even more controversial dimension when it is known that the return of the child to his mother would have been supported by reports linked to professionals who promoted the “gender perspective”. From the family environment, it was reported that the judge made the decision to hand over the child to his mother following the recommendations of a psychologist who gave training along these lines, despite the fact that, according to them, the child “begged

not to be taken”.

In that context, one of the strongest phrases was: “If they had listened to Ángel, we would have him alive. We have to put an end to this progressive farce of 'gender equality'”. Criticism also reached the provincial authorities of Chubut, accused of acting with “judicial malpractice” and “negligence”.

A background that resonates: the case of Lucio Dupuy The

Ángel tragedy inevitably refers to the case of Lucio Dupuy, the 5-year-old boy killed in 2021 in La Pampa by his mother, Magdalena Espósito Valenti, and his partner, Abigail Páez.

In that case, the mother was convicted of triple qualified homicide for the link, malice and cruelty, while her partner was convicted of doubly qualified homicide, in addition to aggravated sexual abuse. Attorney José Mario Aguerrito, representative of Lucio's father, argued that the crime was motivated by “male hatred”, describing a “pathological animosity”.

“Lucio was not killed for the sake of killing. The murderers had a reason and that reason is hatred of the male gender,” she said. He also explained the concept of vicarious violence, pointing out that “to take revenge on the father they attack the son

”.
