Grasping at straws: Democrats to spend 100 million to have a presence on social media
The dominance of social media by the Trumpist movement is such that Democrats feel compelled to invest tens of millions to counter it
The Democratic leadership plans to invest millions of dollars to have a presence on social media that can "shape narratives," according to a report presented at a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee event discovered by Breitbart.
The total investment will amount to 110 million dollars and is part of the "Urgent Funding Needs in a Non-Election Year" campaign, which will allocate, among other expenses, 10 million for social media and content creation, 15 million for "accountability work," and 5 million for "recruitment" of activists.
The goal is to recruit at least 667 content creators, with the aim of reaching 83 million Americans and achieving 6 million interactions. The program intends to involve 167 "non-political creators" and 8 "verified creators for ads" in each targeted state.

Democrats will train content creators for 4 weeks.
Those who want to join the Democratic initiative must participate in a mandatory four-week bootcamp that will serve as a "social media training camp" for future content creators.
The political organization ZINC Collective—led by Hillary Clinton's former presidential campaign manager, Robby Mook, and close advisers to Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi—is currently funding this project.
According to the slides used during the event to detail the virtual action plan, Democrats plan to develop, as a first step, a strong presence on TikTok that is based on criticizing the One Big Beautiful Bill, the flagship tax package of Trump that was recently approved by Congress.

Trumpism dominates social media.
It is logical for the opposition to intend to spend this amount of money on social media, considering that Trumpism has dominated them for some time. For example, just in June, the @TeamTrump account, managed by Alex Bruesewitz and his firm X Strategies, accumulated 200 million more views on Instagram and TikTok than the official Democratic Party accounts on both platforms.
Bruesewitz pointed out that it is comical that Democrats are now spending so much money to try to compete with the Republican Party's strong digital presence. "It's hilarious and pathetic that they're begging their donors for tens of millions of dollars to try to compete with our online presence, which we maintain on a minimal budget," he said in a statement.
"We don't pay creators to support President Trump: his leadership naturally inspires authentic and massive support," Trump's adviser told Breitbart.
