The president of the United States, Donald Trump, once again highlighted the victory of Javier Milei's government in the legislative elections and stated that the Argentine president "not only won, but won by a lot" upon arriving in Japan during an official visit.
Earlier, after it was confirmed that La Libertad Avanza surpassed 40% of the votes nationwide, the American president had already described the result as a "landslide" victory. "The Argentine people justified our confidence," he said.
In a conversation with a journalist aboard the presidential plane, Trump recalled that Milei "received a lot of help" from the United States and achieved a "victory of an unexpected level." "That was something great, and I give a lot of credit to Scott (Bessen), Jamieson (Greer), and Marco (Rubio), because we're maintaining relations with many South American countries, and we're achieving a very strong position there," he added.

Hours earlier, through his Truth Social network, the American president had written: "Congratulations to President Javier Milei for his landslide victory in Argentina. He's doing an excellent job! The Argentine people justified our confidence in him."
