Due to the winds, the risk of fires in Córdoba is extreme.
The authorities prohibited lighting fires in any rural area
This time of year arrives and the countryside in Córdoba goes on alert due to the possibility of rural fires.
Drought, wind, and temperatures contribute to the outbreak of fire.
The fire risk has increased since this Tuesday with strong gusts of north wind.
For this reason, the Secretariat of Climate Risk Management, Catastrophe, and Civil Protection of the Province of Córdoba reported that there is "extreme fire risk," extended until Wednesday.

Spokesperson Roberto Schreiner stated that "according to the forecast, the wind will arrive starting at noon this Tuesday and will also be present tomorrow, Wednesday, which is why we ask the population to cooperate with prevention and notify us immediately if they detect columns of smoke."
In case of a fire outbreak, call the Fire Department
The request, in this regard, is that to file reports, people should contact the phone numbers 0800-888-38346 (FIRE); 100, the number of the Volunteer Fire Department; or 911, the Córdoba Police.

In Córdoba, "lighting any type of fire and any activity that could lead to the start of fires" is prohibited.
The context is that the Province has decreed a "state of environmental alert due to fire risk throughout the provincial territory, until December 31 of the current year," because the second half of the year is the period of greatest risk.
