Alberto Fernández announced this Wednesday the passing of his dog Dylan, the pet that accompanied him during the years he lived at Quinta de Olivos. "You were part of my life, giving me loyalty, joy, and tenderness," wrote the former president in a message posted on his social media, along with a photograph of the collie that became a symbol during his administration.
In his post, Fernández expressed a tone of deep affection as he recalled his relationship with his dog: "Although maybe I never told you, I always hoped you would arrive. You gave me an unconditional friendship that only a few humans have given me. In recent months, you gradually faded away and today, with great sorrow, I say goodbye to you."

Dylan's presence went beyond the private sphere and became a phenomenon on social media during Fernández's presidency. The animal had official accounts on Instagram and Twitter, with tens of thousands of followers, where photos, walks through Olivos, and messages were shared that aimed to show an everyday side of the then president.
