CABA Elections: Milei's candidate, Manuel Adorni, cast his vote

The presidential spokesperson and candidate of Javier Milei for legislator of the City of Buenos Aires, Manuel Adorni, cast his patriotic vote this Sunday in the context of the local elections.

In a notable gesture, the official and representative of La Libertad Avanza brought sandwiches for the polling station officials, showing his support for those who ensure the transparency of the electoral process. After voting, he briefly spoke with the press.

On his official X account, Adorni posted a message where he referred to an unusual event involving Silvia Lospennato, the PRO candidate, who can't vote because she doesn't have an address in CABA. "I went to vote. Ultimately, the only thing that matters is freedom. End," wrote the presidential spokesperson.

Moments earlier, President Javier Milei also participated in the elections, attending the school where he cast his vote, and was received with applause and greetings by a crowd.

Before voting, Milei made statements to the media and harshly referred to the complaint filed by the PRO before the Electoral Justice for the dissemination of a video caused by artificial intelligence.

Asked about the deepfake showing Mauricio Macri withdrawing the candidacy of Silvia Lospennato and supporting the libertarian Manuel Adorni, the head of state replied bluntly: "Mauricio Macri is being a crybaby and is very fragile."

Milei, like Manuel Adorni, appeared confident about the development of the election day and concluded his brief contact with the media with a direct message: "Let the people express themselves."

More than 2.5 million voters are eligible to vote and renew 30 seats in the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires. The elected candidates will take office on December 10, 2025, and will have a four-year term, according to what the local Constitution establishes.

These elections present a strong dispute between the PRO, which has governed the city for 18 years, and La Libertad Avanza, which seeks to consolidate its territorial power. Meanwhile, Leandro Santoro from Peronism seeks to capitalize on the wear and tear of the Buenos Aires administration.
