Eling Energía signed a key agreement to advance the Santa Cruz River dams.
The agreement opens the door for work to resume on a large-scale energy project
The Córdoba-based company Eling Energía participated this Friday in the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding with Enarsa. The agreement also involves the Chinese firm Gezhouba Group, its partner in the Temporary Business Union (UTE) responsible for the development of the dams on the Santa Cruz River. The document establishes joint guidelines to advance the reactivation of the hydroelectric complex.
The event was held at the headquarters of Energía Argentina SA and was attended by the Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, and the governor of Santa Cruz, Claudio Vidal. Daniel de la Torre, a member of the Executive Committee, signed on behalf of Eling Energía, while Gezhouba was represented by Wang Mingyi. Both companies emphasized the strategic value of the project for the national energy infrastructure.
The understanding provides for a period of between 4 and 5 months to resume construction, subject to the progress of financing and the gradual reactivation of technical personnel on site. The document also provides for the coordinated resolution of technical, contractual, and financial aspects. Although it doesn't imply an immediate restart, it constitutes a concrete step toward the continuity of the project.

A Córdoba-based company within a federal energy plan
Eling Energía, based in Córdoba, is part of the UTE along with Gezhouba and other national firms. Its participation provides technical capacity and experience in large-scale infrastructure projects. The company has already participated in previous stages of the complex and will once again play a central role in the development.
The project involves the construction of two dams: Cóndor Cliff and La Barrancosa, with a combined installed capacity of more than 1,300 MW. Once completed, they will supply energy to more than one million households and contribute to the goal of energy diversification. Since its inception, the initiative has been structured on the basis of international financing and collaboration among companies from different regions.
The participation of Córdoba in this scheme reinforces the province's technical-industrial profile within the national energy system. In addition to contributing specialized human resources, Eling Energía works in coordination with public and private stakeholders to meet the project's technical requirements. In the short term, the progressive incorporation of personnel and initial tasks on site are planned.
