River still hasn't finished processing the historic sale of Franco Mastantuono to Real Madrid, and already must keep absolute focus on the team's debut in the Club World Cup, which will take place this Tuesday against Urawa Red Diamonds. In this context, Enzo Pérez, an undisputed leader of the club, spoke and shared his thoughts on both topics ahead of the debut in Seattle.

Regarding the transfer of the native of Azul, which will be completed through the payment of the release clause and will leave the Núñez club with 45 million euros (49.2 million dollars) net, Pérez was clear in stating that it is already a matter solved internally: "Obviously, we've talked and we've had opinions. Practically everyone has already given their opinion and the people who needed to speak have spoken, who are the ones making decisions. From now on, anything else that could be said is not appropriate".

He also emphasized the importance of the young player staying focused on the immediate present: "His mind and ours are set on the match against Urawa, which is the most important thing. He needs to enjoy the time he still has here with us, and we need to support him in the best possible way".

As for River's debut in the intercontinental tournament, the former Estudiantes and Benfica player did not hide the anxiety that comes with an event of this magnitude: "You start to feel the nerves... even if you're older and have a few years of experience, you still feel it, you experience it internally. But at the same time, there's calmness and the hope to make the best possible debut".

The match against the Japanese side will mark El Millonario's debut in a tournament that generates enormous anticipation among fans and represents a historic opportunity for the club and also for several of its young talents.
