A European club has made an offer for Vicente Taborda and Boca is considering his permanent departure.

Although Boca isn't planning any more signings in this transfer window, the list of departures remains open. In this regard, in recent hours Panathinaikos of Greece has submitted a formal offer of 4.5 million dollars for 80% of Vicente Taborda, who is currently on loan at Platense, although his registration belongs to Xeneize.

The management led by Juan Román Riquelme views the departure of the midfielder from Entre Ríos favorably. In fact, they've already started talks with Calamar's executives to speed up the operation. The good institutional relationship between both clubs is a key factor in reaching an agreement.

His time at Platense and Boca

The 24-year-old midfielder was essential in the team that won the 2025 Torneo Apertura, the club's first ever title. In that tournament, he played 19 matches and scored 5 goals, one of them historic against River at the Monumental in the quarterfinals. A muscle injury sidelined him from the first matches of the Clausura and, despite returning in the clásico against Argentinos Juniors, he hasn't yet regained his starting spot under Kily González.

At Boca, however, Taborda was never able to establish himself. Since his debut on July 25, 2021, against Banfield, he has only played 17 matches in blue and gold and hasn't scored any goals. He was loaned to Platense for the first time in 2022, returned in 2023, but once again left on loan. In this window, the possibility of recalling him was considered, although Miguel Ángel Russo didn't request him.
