An ex-couple was arrested in the city of Laboulaye, in the south of the province of Córdoba, accused of selling drugs. The arrests occurred during a series of raids that dismantled three drug sales points operating in the area.
The operation was carried out by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Police Force (FPA), who arrested a 49-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both identified as responsible for leading the illegal activity.
Despite being separated, the former members of the couple continued to be involved in the drug business. According to official sources, the woman had reported the man for domestic violence.
At the time, the Justice had issued a restraining order between them. However, the Public Prosecutor's Office clarified that this measure was no longer in effect at the time of the procedure.
The arrests were made at a house located on Posadas Street at 100. Meanwhile, agents of the Anti-Narcotics Police Force (FPA) raided two other residences located at the intersection of 25 de Mayo and Entre Ríos, in the northern neighborhood of Laboulaye. In all cases, it was confirmed that the properties were used as drug sales points.
According to what was reconstructed by the investigators, the ex-couple implemented a dual marketing strategy: on one hand, they offered home deliveries or at previously agreed locations, and on the other, they maintained fixed points of sale. Additionally, it was established that deliveries were made in less trafficked areas of the city and in neighboring towns.
During the raids, the officers seized several doses of marijuana, a sum of cash, a motorcycle, and various items used for the fractioning and cutting of substances, all considered key pieces in the criminal scheme.
The case continues under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which is considering the possibility of expanding the charges against the detained couple. Possible links with drug trafficking networks operating in other areas of the south of the province of Córdoba are also being investigated.
