Experts warned about what the most likely catastrophe to occur by 2035 is.
An international security research center presented a conflicting forecast for the future.
The future of the planet seems to be marked by increasingly serious and worrying challenges. The new survey conducted by the Atlantic Council, an influential international security research center, presented an alarming outlook on what could happen in the world over the next decade.
More than 350 experts in various fields shared their predictions, many of which point to profound transformations and global risks. One of the most alarming forecasts is the possibility of a Third World War.
According to 40.5% of the strategists consulted, a military conflict between major powers like the United States, China, and Russia could break out before 2035.

Experts highlight that this confrontation could involve not only conventional weaponry but also nuclear weapons and even battles in outer space, a dimension that has become more relevant since the creation of the U.S. Space Force in 2019, under the leadership of Donald Trump.
The global geopolitical landscape is also changing. An important finding from the survey is the growing concern about the formation of new international alliances that challenge the hegemony of the U.S. and NATO.
47.4% of experts believe that China will lead a coalition with Russia, Iran, and North Korea, forming a powerful alliance to rival the Group of Seven (G7). Additionally, almost 65% of respondents believe that China will attempt to invade Taiwan before 2035, which could lead to a new escalation of tensions in the Pacific.
The future of the Middle East was also analyzed, with 62.5% of experts opining that the conflict between Israel and Palestine will remain stagnant, while Israel will continue occupying Palestinian territories. However, 56% of respondents estimate that by 2035, Israel will have normalized its diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia. Regarding a possible independent Palestinian state, only 17% believe it will be a reality in the next decade.
Global conflict is just one of the threats we face. Climate change remains one of the most urgent concerns. With the increase in natural disasters, land desertification, and glacier melting, the effects of global warming will intensify in the coming decades, affecting millions of people worldwide.
Meanwhile, artificial intelligence will also play a key role in the future. Its accelerated development can bring enormous benefits, but it also poses risks of massive unemployment and a potential crisis of ethics and privacy. Experts warn that if not properly regulated, AI could have a profound impact on society and the labor market.
The coming decades could be decisive in addressing these risks.
