Explosive trailer of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint featuring Lee Minho and K-pop stars
The highly anticipated adaptation of the Korean web novel revealed its first teaser with a star-studded cast
The film adaptation of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint presented its first official trailer along with striking individual posters. The announcement was made on May 12 and caused great excitement among fans of K-pop and Korean fantasy.
The movie is based on the successful web novel of the same name, in which the protagonist, Kim Dok-ja, discovers that the world transforms into the setting of the story he used to read in secret.
An apocalyptic plot that crosses fiction and reality
In the film, Kim Dok-ja becomes the unexpected hero of a post-apocalyptic universe. He is accompanied by Yoo Jung-hyuk, the protagonist of the original novel, along with a group of characters with supernatural abilities granted by "constellations," celestial entities with unique powers.
The film combines action, fantasy, and drama, and is directed by Kim Byeong-woo (The Terror Live) and produced by Realize Pictures, responsible for Along with the Gods.
The story revolves around the only loyal reader of the novel, who collaborates with the fictional characters to save the real world. In this narrative universe, each character possesses a constellation that defines their strength. For example, Lee Ji-hye, played by Jisoo, has Admiral Yi Sun Shin, a Korean national hero, as her constellation.
A cast that mixes K-drama icons and K-pop figures
Ahn Hyo-seop makes his film debut playing Kim Dok-ja, while Lee Min-ho portrays Yoo Jung-hyuk, a warrior with the ability to return from death, marked by a cold personality due to his repetitive fate.

BLACKPINK member, Jisoo, takes on her first full film role as Lee Ji-hye, and her participation has caused global expectations. The artist had already expressed being a fan of the original novel, which reinforced her commitment to the project.
Nana, former member of After School, brings to life Jeong Hee-won, a woman who fights against injustices with overwhelming energy. Her recent performance in Confession and her appearances in Netflix titles increased her global popularity.
The cast is completed by Chae Soo-bin as Yoo Sang-ah, a former colleague of the protagonist; Shin Seung-ho as the ex-soldier Lee Hyun-seong; Jeong Seong-il, known for The Glory, and Park Ho-san, a regular in intense roles.

International changes and approval from the original author
The Japanese version of the film underwent modifications in some cultural references. A constellation inspired by Ahn Jung Geun was removed, and a line about Yu Gwan Sun was rewritten, replacing it with a figure from Japanese mysticism.
Won Dong-yeon, CEO of Realize Pictures, stated that these adjustments were necessary due to the global nature of the project, but emphasized that the complete script was shared and approved by the author of the novel, who gave the green light to the creative changes.
"All the goblins are there. Yoo Jung-hyuk uses a sword and a gun. We may not follow the book to the letter, but the message, the characters, and the essence of the world are intact," assured Dong-yeon.
