Expo Parques Industriales Córdoba 2025: opening, key players, and economic expectations

On August 27 and 28, the Convention Center brings together businesspeople and officials to discuss energy, employment, and innovation

When the lights at the Convention Center were turned on at 10, the organizers declared the first day of the exhibition dedicated to the productive infrastructure of the country's interior officially open. Provincial authorities, business representatives, and logistics operators attended the opening, which featured more than forty stands distributed throughout the venue. The opening ceremony highlighted public-private partnerships as a key factor to attract investments and facilitate industrial projects in the region.

Pedro Dellarossa, Rodolfo Games, and Guillermo Guassardi delivered the formal greetings and emphasized improvements in services and competitiveness. On stage, the need to accelerate works that would reduce logistics costs and improve predictability for local ventures was underscored. Meanwhile, the presence of media and business chambers demonstrated the interest in generating commercial synergies and expanding the base of industrial suppliers.

The organizers announced that the day's agenda would focus on operational efficiency, digitalization, and the development of technical talent for manufacturing plants. Presentations, round tables, and bilateral meetings aimed to connect projects and capital with the goal of generating quality employment in productive hubs. In addition, the province's role as a platform for regional-scale projects and a gateway to international markets was highlighted.

New sites and expansion of the provincial network

Dellarossa stated that the number of authorized sites increased from sixty to sixty-seven in the past year across the territory. The provincial minister indicated that there are six parks with ongoing works and private projects seeking to solve procedures to begin operations. The initiative aims to consolidate a territorial map that facilitates the establishment of companies and the creation of stable employment in municipalities in the interior.

The event brought recent experiences to the forefront, with examples of parks in Idiazábal, Berrotarán, and Bioetanol in Río Cuarto that already have companies in operation. Local entrepreneurs explained how the availability of basic services and road connections reduced start-up times and improved competitiveness. Meanwhile, technical managers explained the administrative steps required to authorize new sites and attract larger-scale productive investments.

The organizers reiterated the official goal of reaching one hundred authorized industrial hubs in the medium term, with a roadmap to accelerate works and permits. It was indicated that there are already projects at various stages, from processing to infrastructure execution, and that the provincial government will seek to facilitate procedures to reduce timelines. The conclusion of the session was that the territorial expansion of parks pursues a clear objective: to generate more formal employment and productive activity in intermediate cities.

Technical debates and proposals to strengthen competitiveness

The working groups addressed the reduction of energy costs, improvement of internal logistics, and access to financing for industrial SMEs. Experts and officials agreed on the need for public policies that prioritize infrastructure and accessible credit for investments in technology and machinery. It was also emphasized that coordination between municipalities and the province is key to resolving administrative bottlenecks that affect the arrival of capital.

In another session, business representatives presented success stories in which the concentration of suppliers at the same site enabled economies of scale and reduced response times for industrial clients. Promotion mechanisms that encourage the establishment of national suppliers in the parks were analyzed to strengthen productive linkages. The event also served as a forum for local SMEs to hold business discussions with potential buyers and partners.

Authorities and business leaders agreed that the exhibition should become a consolidated annual business and technical agenda space for the sector. Upcoming follow-up activities were announced to turn the contacts made into concrete investment agreements. The second day will continue with business rounds, technical talks, and presentations that will complete the scheduled agenda through August 28.
