San Lorenzo is going through crucial hours in its institutional life after the declaration of the power vacuum and amid the open legal conflict triggered by the filing by Marcelo Moretti. In that context, the Extraordinary Assembly moved forward with two central decisions: the date of the early elections and the formation of a transitional government that will run the club until then.
The first point addressed was when the elections will be held. There were three motions on the table: Sergio Costantino proposed voting on Saturday, November 28, Matías Lammens suggested doing so on Saturday, May 30, while César Francis and Manuel Agote pushed as an alternative Sunday March 29. After the vote of the 79 assembly members present, the proposal for May 30 was the one that achieved the greatest consensus, with 43 votes in favor. The November option gathered 34 votes, the March option obtained a single vote, and one abstention was recorded.
Once the election date was set, the Assembly then moved forward with the selection of the new provisional authorities. After a recess of approximately 30 minutes and through a roll-call vote, Sergio Costantino was chosen to head the transitional Executive Committee, accompanied by Valeria Cartamoglietta as vice president. In the final showdown, Costantino prevailed by 35 votes to 31 over the candidacy of Matías Lammens, while César Francis gathered 2 votes and 11 abstentions were recorded.
