This Monday, the bicameral commission in charge of proposing the new head of the Office for the Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents concluded a fast-track selection process with a resolution that caused strong controversy, for choosing an ultra-Kirchnerist activist and radical feminist to lead the agency.
With the support of Peronists, Kirchnerists, and Radicals, and with the unexpected collaboration of PRO deputies, the two-thirds majority required was achieved to submit a list that includes María Paz Bertero as the next Children's Ombudsperson, a position of high institutional sensitivity and with its own budget.
Additionally, Eduardo Robledo, a far-left communist and LGBT activist, was appointed as Deputy Ombudsperson. After being selected by the bicameral commission, they must now be voted on in the chamber, but the list is expected to be approved without issue.

Bertero is a lawyer who graduated from the National University of La Plata, with a specialization in "gender issues." In 2007, she began developing a legal column on a radio station in La Plata and established a close relationship with radical feminist activists.
In 2009, the next Children's Ombudsperson managed to consolidate her activism and biased worldview, maintaining a strongly leftist perspective within her professional practice. Additionally, while she supposedly wants to represent and "defend" them, Bertero openly supports abortion, that is, the murder of unborn children.
