A user found him on Bumble, and the screenshot of the driver's profile went viral
Federico Bal is often trending due to his infidelities, but this week his appearance on various dating apps sparked controversy.
The surprise arose when, on the show Ya fue todo, broadcast on YouTube, Barbie Gyalay shared the experience of a friend who came across the host's profile. She not only recognized him from the photo, but was also surprised to see that his description was written entirely in English, which led to all kinds of comments.
Far from being a fake account, Fede's profile is photo-verified, which confirms its authenticity. According to what was said on the show, the host of Resto del Mundo had already explained in previous interviews that he uses the app during his international travels, hence the reason for the language.
"It caught my attention that it was in English. Later I searched and found that he had already said he used it abroad," Gyalay commented on air.
In the description, Fede defines himself as someone "simple", a lover of food, video games, music, and horror movies, of which he declares himself a fan. He also clarifies that he is currently traveling around the world hosting one of the most important tourism programs on Argentine television.
But the most striking thing was not his résumé, but an unexpected confession: "The other day I found out that telling the truth can get you into trouble, but it feels good. My family still doesn't know that I crashed my dad's car one summer at the beach."
He also states that he is on the app to "have a good time on casual dates", and adds personal details such as that he still doesn't know if he wants to have children.
Federico Bal en Bumble
Unlike other platforms, on Bumble the rules are different: once a match is made, it is the woman who must send the first message. Otherwise, the connection expires in 24 hours. This dynamic was explained on the show, while they debated whether Gyalay's friend could actually have a conversation with him.
"I told her: 'Like him, let's see if you match!'", the host said with amusement. "If they talk, let her tell us," added another of the panelists.
