The measure, agreed upon with the European Club Association, will distribute a multimillion-dollar sum among teams around the world
FIFA announced a new edition of the Club Assistance Program, which will have a historic impact on the upcoming World Cup. For the first time, not only the teams that release players for the final stage of the tournament, but also those that provide footballers for the qualifying stage will receive part of the solidarity fund.
The entity presided over by Gianni Infantino detailed that 355 million dollars will be allocated to distribute among clubs around the world. "The new edition of the program will take a further step and will recognize in economic terms the immense contribution made by clubs and players from all over the world to make the preliminary stage and the final stage of the tournament possible," explained the official.

Infantino also emphasized that this scheme aims to strengthen collaboration with the European Club Association (ECA) and with institutions from all confederations: "We all look forward to attending a historic and inclusive edition of the FIFA World Cup next year."
The precedent of Qatar 2022
The compensation system is not new, but it is being expanded in this edition. In the Qatar 2022 World Cup, FIFA distributed 209 million dollars among 440 clubs from 51 member associations, belonging to the six international confederations.
