After several weeks of rumors, negotiations, and conflicting reports, the terms of the agreement that ended the employment relationship between Florencia Peña and Luzu TV began to emerge. The host and actress held a meeting with Nico Occhiato following the scandal that erupted during the 2026 World Cup, and both parties managed to resolve the conflict without resorting to the courts.
According to Guido Záffora on DDM (América TV), the agreement established that Peña would not return to the program El show del verano and would be completely dissociated from the platform.
Before the controversy, the actress had one of the most significant contracts on the streaming channel.
According to the information released by Záffora, Florencia Peña earned a monthly salary of between eight and nine million pesos, although that figure represented only a part of her income.
The agreement also included two Non-Traditional Advertising (PNT) spaces for free use. This allowed her to incorporate her own brands into the program and retain all the money generated from those commercial actions, meaning her monthly income significantly exceeded her fixed salary.
The episode that triggered the conflict
The relationship between the actress and the platform broke down on June 18, when during a broadcast of Luzu TV, incorrect information about the supposed death of Jorge Messi, father of the captain of the Argentine national team, was disseminated.
The repercussions of the episode led to an internal crisis that resulted in Florencia Peña's departure from the channel.
According to Záffora, following the incident, a conversation took place between Occhiato and the actress that was described as "very unfortunate" and led to the decision to publicly announce her disassociation.
From that moment on, Peña sought the advice of Fernando Burlando, who assessed the possibility of initiating a lawsuit.
