The Argentine financial market started moving again in favor of savers. In recent days, fixed-term deposit rates have started to rise and several institutions are already offering yields that exceed 30% per year.

The adjustment responds to the signals that the Treasury sent in its recent auctions and to banks' need to retain pesos in the face of other investment alternatives. With no minimum rate set by the Central Bank, competition has intensified.

Fixed-term deposit: the ranking of banks that already exceed 30%

With the update of the rate boards, a group of institutions has taken the lead. Banco Voii tops the ranking with a Nominal Annual Rate of 31.5%, positioning itself as the most profitable option in the market.

Crédito Regional Compañía Financiera appears very close behind, offering 31%. The group of banks that pay exactly 30% is completed by Banco Meridian, Banco CMF, Banco Bica, and Banco Mariva.

Competitive options below 30%

One step below are Banco de la Provincia de Córdoba and fintech Reba, both with a 29% rate.

Among banks with a larger physical presence, Banco Macro stands out with 27.5%.

What rates the largest banks offer

In banks with the largest number of clients, rates are noticeably lower. Banco Nación currently pays 26%, while Banco Provincia and Credicoop are at 25%.

Further behind are ICBC with 23.5%, BBVA with 23%, and Banco Galicia with 22%. Santander offers 21% and Banco Ciudad closes the table with 20.5%.

Why it is advisable to look at the ranking before investing

The difference between the bank that pays the most and the one that offers the least already exceeds 10 percentage points. This has a direct impact on the monthly yield, which in the top options is around 2.6%.

In this context, the fixed-term deposit is once again gaining prominence as a short-term instrument. For investors who seek predictability and capital protection, comparing rates becomes key.
