The forensic report on the human remains in Cerati's house revealed shocking information

The remains belong to a young person between 15 and 19 years old who suffered stab wounds

The discovery of human remains on the property that belonged to Gustavo Cerati, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Coghlan, has reignited the mystery surrounding a past as diverse as it is enigmatic. The workers who were excavating a plot of land on Avenida Congreso 3700 never imagined that, on May 20, they would come across a discovery that would open a judicial investigation that is still ongoing.

According to a report by the Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF), the remains belong to a young person between 15 and 19 years old. The body showed a stab wound in the rib area and cuts on the left femur. These injuries could be related both to the moment of death and to possible actions taken after the young person's death.

Although the experts were unable to determine the exact date of death, several objects found next to the body made it possible to narrow down the period in which it may have occurred. Among them was a Casio digital calculator watch, model CA 90, which was very popular in the 1980s and early 1990s. Coins from the same era were also recovered, so investigators estimate that the death occurred during those years.

The body was buried in a small pit, just 3 feet 11 inches (1.20 meters) long, 2 feet (60 centimeters) wide, and 1 foot 4 inches (40 centimeters) deep. The small size and the location on the dividing wall between two properties led to suspicions that the burial was carried out hastily and with few tools.

The scene was discovered when a piece of earth from the neighboring house came loose, exposing bone remains. The architect in charge of the project immediately notified the City Police, who arrived at the scene along with the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 61, headed by Martín López Perrando.

The history of that house adds layers of intrigue. At different times, it served as a family home, a nursing home, and a church. During 2001 and 2003, the property was rented by musician Gustavo Cerati, while its owner, visual artist Marina Olmi, was living in Spain.
