Tragedy in Córdoba: Truck driver dies after overturning with a load of peanuts on Route 11
The driver was a native of Corral de Bustos. The accident occurred between Isla Verde and Monte Maíz, in the midst of the frost
A 37-year-old truck driver died this Thursday after a violent rollover on Provincial Route 11, at kilometer 223. The vehicle was transporting peanuts and ended up overturned on the shoulder, with the cab completely destroyed. The accident occurred between the towns of Isla Verde and Monte Maíz, in the Unión department.
The man was identified as a native of Corral de Bustos, and he was traveling alone at the time of the accident. It is presumed that frost accumulated on the road due to freezing temperatures may have contributed to the loss of control. Despite the quick response of the emergency service, the driver died at the hospital in Monte Maíz.

The incident took place minutes before 9 a.m. and did not involve other vehicles. According to police sources, the truck lost stability on a slight curve and rolled over completely. The trailer ended up on the side of the asphalt, while the cab came to rest on the shoulder.

He was assisted, but ended up dying at the hospital
Volunteer Fire Department personnel and Córdoba Police officers arrived quickly at the scene. The driver was rescued alive and urgently transported with severe injuries. At the local hospital, doctors confirmed a severe cranial trauma.
Despite the efforts made at the health center, the truck driver died a few minutes after being admitted. The news shocked the residents of Corral de Bustos, where he was from. The health center confirmed that he arrived with severely compromised vital signs.

Traffic on Provincial Route 11 was closed for several hours. A special operation was deployed to remove the wrecked truck and ensure vehicle passage. Regional authorities are urging caution due to the accumulated ice on the roads.
